Airbags can be dangerous if they are not fixed after recall

An airbag can save a life, but it can also kill a person if it´s not working correctly like it should. This has happened a few times in the US the last years.

According to nbcnews.com Honda Motors Co. has had some problems with their airbags which means that they have recalled millions of Hondas and Acuras equipped with air bags made by Takata Corp. of Japan. The reason of the recalling is that the airbags can send metal and plastic parts spraying inside the cars when deployed.

This far the Honda Motors Co. are suspected to be related to three deaths and 52 injuries in the U.S. as well as two other deaths in Texas and one in California caused by Takata air bags. It has not yet been confirmed whether it really is Takata Airbags fault according to Chris Martin, a spokesman for Honda.

One of the main reasons why it can turn out this bad is that people don´t react when their car is recalled. In some of the cases Honda has no record that the recall repair has ever been done.
