Google´s autocomplete results are too “evil”

If you search on Google sometimes – and you most likely do so – you´ll find that the autocomplete results that drops down when you are about to search for something not always fits your needs?

According to FoxNews Google has done some changes making their autocomplete results less “evil” meaning that if you write i.e. “are jews” on Google, the autocomplete results wouldn´t be “are jews evil” no more. There are other examples like “are Muslims bad” and so on.

These auto results spotted by Carole Cadwalladr at the Observer, reports the Guardian – are now removed from Google´s autocomplete results.

Google says it tries “to prevent offensive terms, like porn and hate speech, from appearing,” but “autocomplete predictions are algorithmically generated based on users’ search activity and interests” and “may be unexpected or unpleasant.” That said, “We acknowledge that autocomplete isn’t an exact science and we’re always working to improve our algorithms.”
