A system that is going to be 100 times faster than Wi-Fi has been science fiction for some time, but now it seems that the time has come to face that it´s really possible to have a much faster internet than what we are used to.
It´s made possible by using a technique that would transfer data through LED light bulbs. It might sound too crazy, but it´s really a matter of short time before we will see this in action.
According to FoxNews, Velmenni, which was named a finalist in this year’s Slush 100 startup competition, has designed a system called Jugnu that it describes as the next generation of smart LED bulbs.
The system called Li-FI will be able to transfer data to other bulbs, mobile phones, and internet.
Li-Fi isn’t going to completely replace Wi-Fi the transfer of data. It will take time since devices would have to be retrofitted for the new technology and the world would have to replace all these incandescent light bulbs with LED bulbs.
