RayGo – the new device for texting and driving. Smart?

If you want to stay connected and online while driving your car this new device can help you, but it has some critics saying that devices like this should not be legal at all.

The device is the so called RayGo and it let you keep your eyes on the road and your hands on the steering wheel while driving. The smart thing about this device is that it is connected to a GPS letting it know exactly where you are. If you i.e. are in the middle of making a turn and you receive a Facebook message the RayGo will hold the message until you are ready to receive it.

It all sounds very smart, but there sure are some things that you have to have in mind before using the device while driving. According to a Dan Wagner, founder and president of Teen Driving Solutions School of North Carolina, any distraction is one too many – especially if you are a teen driver.

Many others agree with Dan Wagner. One of them, Accident lawyer Jennifer Ashley, a partner with Illinois-based Salvi, Schostok & Pritchard P.C., says: “In my opinion, a device such as RayGo should not be legal.”
