Smartphones should be less attractive to thieves

Your smartphone keep getting smarter and it is possible to store many different things on your phone.

That´s very smart but the problem is that your smartphone is getting more attractive to thieves wanting to resell not only your smartphone, but also the information on it.

According to FoxNews.com a so called “kill switch” could be a very good thing letting smartphone users delete all personal information on their phones if it has been stolen.

Smartphone theft is a growing problem with millions of stolen devices each year.

A kill switch should be integrated into every smartphone if you ask Consumers Union, the policy and advocacy arm of Consumer Reports. “By making stolen smartphones inoperable—and ultimately unsellable—they’re less attractive to criminals,” they say.
